Controller issues can prevent proper gameplay. First, ensure your controller is properly connected to your device (via Bluetooth or USB) and recognized by the operating system. In PPSSPP, go to 'Controls' -> 'Control Mapping'. Select 'Game Controls' or 'Analog Deadzone' if you have an analog stick issue. Click 'Map game buttons' and manually re-map each button by pressing the corresponding button on your physical controller when prompted. Make sure 'Enable touch controls' is unchecked if you're solely using a physical controller to avoid accidental touch inputs. If you're on Android, ensure PPSSPP has permission to read input devices. For some specific controllers, you might need to enable 'Analog D-Pad (useful for some controllers)' in 'Control Mapping' settings. If using an external app for controller mapping, try disabling it and letting PPSSPP handle it directly.
