In the Cloudflare DNS settings, each DNS record has a toggle represented by a cloud icon. Clicking this icon turns it orange, enabling the proxy. When enabled, Cloudflare acts as a reverse proxy, caching content, providing DDoS protection, and offering other performance and security benefits. Grey clouds bypass the proxy.
